Dr. Sharad Mutalik

Dr. Mutalik is one of the most renowned dermatologists in India, with many years of experience in dermatology. To date, he has treated thousands of patients with skin problems of various types and varying complexities. Dr. Mutalik considers his profession to be an opportunity for him to improve the health and well-being of people. He doesn’t merely treat patients but builds long-term relationships with them. While being one of AIBDF’s strength, Dr. Mutalik is also one of the inspirations behind the institution’s inception.

Mr. Ashok Suratwala

Mr. Suratwala, the founder of AIBDF, is a executive of Desai Brothers Ltd. He founded AIBDF to create awareness about auto-immune blistering diseases and help people suffering from these diseases receive timely and proper treatment. The foundation was created in memory of his wife, the Late Jayshree Suratwala.

Aniruddha A Bambawale

Aniruddha A Bambawale is a Certified Financial Planner. Having rich experience in Financial counseling & investment advisory. He is corporate director & designated partner based out of Pune.

Jayant K. Hemade

Jayant K. Hemade is a legal professional and corporate director based in Pune, Maharashtra. He has a strong background in non-litigation legal practice, particularly in
areas like real estate transactions, due diligence, and structuring deals for renewable energy and industrial projects.

Auto Immune Blistering Disease Foundation

Even today, our society looks at skin diseases, infections, blisters, etc., with hatred and disrespect. Thus, often, people suffering from these diseases get almost boycotted or are left alone to struggle in isolation. Fortunately, things are improving at the individual and institutional levels. Of course, any change takes time. But every initiative in this direction will count, create awareness and help people in despair.

Auto-Immune Blistering Disease Foundation (AIBDF) is a modest initiative to help people suffering from auto-immune blistering diseases. It is a joint effort, the inspiration behind which is Mr. Ashok Suratwala, the organization’s founder, and Dr. Sharad Mutalik, a seasoned dermatologist of international repute. AIBDF works with objectives that include,

Creating awareness about auto-immune blistering diseases among people. All blisters and ulcers aren’t necessarily regular ulcers, as many tend to take them casually.
Guiding them with early diagnosis and the right treatment.
Helping people who cannot afford the treatment with financial help.
Creating support groups where past patients can share their experiences, guide and encourage existing patients to take up advanced treatment.
Making breakthrough molecules like biologics accessible and affordable to all.
